TheAegean Film Festivalpromotes and supports young and upcoming storytellers, independent cinema, as well as our efforts to highlight pressing environmental issues through the Echoes – Environmental Documentary program. We enable the Stories, the Artists, the Islands and the Festival to bring this all together. We are a small team of festival “nomads”, curators and artists that dedicate our best energy and resources to organize this little gem of the Aegean. More than half of the team is volunteering or offering their skills for free while, individuals and foundations help us with funds and services in kind. All of the executive board members are offering their services for free as they consider the festival their own responsibility and contribution to cinema.

The festival maintains strong collaborations with local authorities and various organizations such as the Ministry of Culture and Sports in Greece, committed to promoting a fundamental aspect of Greek culture, fostering connections with other cultures, especially in these challenging times.

TheEvia Film Project, Thessaloniki International Film Festival΄s green action,is gearing up for its third summer get-together with the audience. Screenings, masterclasses, actions targeted to professionals of the film industry, workshops for children and students, as well as special music events, make up this 5-day celebration of green cinema in Northern Evia. Admission to all events is free for the audience. This year, the linchpin between the films and the actions of Evia Film Project is no other than water: the sea, the rain, all water resources, and their life-defining relation with mankind.

The festival aims to provide a showcase for the work of new filmmakers from around the world and to promote the diversity and richness of the short film.The festival program includes screenings of short films from Greece and abroad as well as audiovisual events, lectures, masterclasses and exhibitions. Vision of the Psarokokalo ISFF is the respect for fundamental rights including freedom equal opportunities and cultural diversity.Psarokokalo International Short Film Festival is run by KYKLOS(cycle) a nonprofit organization based in Greece whose purpose is to promote actions relating to cinema and public awareness of environmental issues.
