Unveiled in February 2025 as part of her album Pagan Soul, “Magical City” invites listeners into a reflective world where imagination and reality intertwine. With lyrics like “The magical city I’ve created in my own mind,” the song paints an introspective, dreamlike portrait of the inner self.
Visually, the accompanying music video guides viewers through a surreal urban dreamscape, where the real and the imaginary seamlessly merge. Sonically, the track weaves emotive pop vocals with textured electronic layers — a signature blend that showcases Nama Dama’s distinctive style. Her sound draws deeply from her Ukrainian, Greek, and Cypriot roots, resulting in a rich musical fabric that bridges tradition with innovation.

Nama Dama
Nama Dama is the artistic moniker of Anastasia Demetriadou, a dynamic solo artist from Cyprus whose work spans multiple disciplines, known for crafting mesmerizing audio-visual experiences. Her performances transport audiences into a world where music and storytelling converge, blending the haunting elegance of electronic folk with the catchy vibrancy of pop. The result is a sound that feels both cutting-edge and steeped in cultural memory.
Drawing on her multicultural roots — Ukrainian, Greek, and Cypriot — Nama Dama infuses her music with a distinctive richness and depth. Her latest album, Pagan Soul, out in 2025, embodies this cultural blend, guiding listeners through a soundscape that merges ancient spiritual motifs with modern electronic rhythms.
Using live looping, Nama Dama creates performances that are immersive and ritualistic, dissolving the divide between artist and audience in a shared experience of sound and presence.
Since launching her live career in 2019, Nama Dama has steadily cultivated a dedicated following. Her debut EP, Confessions to my Songbird (2021) serves as a musical diary, where each song unfolds as a distinct narrative, yet collectively they weave a cohesive story. Eat Me Raw (Live), released in December 2023, is a seven-track album capturing the raw energy and intimacy of her live performances in Nicosia between 2021 and 2022. Her performances have graced the stages of Tremor Festival in the Azores, Fengaros Festival in Cyprus (twice), Athens Music Week, Pulsar Festival in Samothraki, and TEDx Limassol.
Alongside her solo project, she also composes and performs for theater. In 2024, she received the “Young Artist of the Year” award from the Cyprus Theatre Organization, leading to a notable collaboration with acclaimed director Thomas Moschopoulos.
Whether performing in intimate venues or on festival stages, Nama Dama crafts each song and show as a ritual — a space where memory, myth, and emotion meet. As her body of work continues to evolve, one thing remains clear: Nama Dama isn’t just making music; she’s building an experience — one that speaks to the soul, challenges the norm, and redefines what it means to belong.
