A New Bicycle Route Through History and Nature

Naoussa, Greece, has unveiled a new bicycle route aimed at enhancing eco-tourism and offering an active way to explore its scenic landscapes. The route is designed to connect key cultural and natural attractions, providing cyclists with a mix of historical exploration and breathtaking views.

Starting in Naoussa, the trail passes through picturesque vineyards renowned for producing Xinomavro wine, reflecting the region’s deep-rooted wine-making heritage. Cyclists can stop at local wineries and the Museum of Wine and Vine, which showcases traditional wine production techniques. The route also takes riders to natural landmarks like the Arapitsa River waterfalls and the lush recreation area of St. Nikolaos, ideal for breaks amid nature.

This initiative is part of Naoussa’s broader push to promote sustainable tourism, complementing its established hiking and wine-tasting routes.
