ARIS FATOUROS
Aris Fatouros was born in Lefkada island and grew up in Athens. He holds a degree from the Department of Physics at the University of Athens. He also studied Political Science at Panteion University and Film Directing at the Stavrakos Film School. Since 1990, he has worked extensively as an assistant director, production manager, executive producer, and director in film and television. He was a co-founder of the association “Mikro” (1995). In 1999, as a Special Advisor to ERT (Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation), he designed and implemented the Microfilm program, an acclaimed public television initiative that produced over 150 short films (2000-2012), winning numerous national and international awards. He has been a Consultant for the European educational program of the Mediterranean Institute of Cinema. He has also served as a jury member at both national and international film festivals. He is a founding member (2002) of the Hellenic Parliament Television Station, where he continues to work as a Program Advisor. His films (documentaries, short animations, live action shorts) have been participated and awarded in many local and international festivals and competitions.
