Theo Kalomirakis

PRESIDENT

Before returning to Greece to start gr2me, Theo Kalomirakis had a successful career in the US as a designer of private theaters. His award-winning home theater interiors showcase his deep understanding of design and his ability to seamlessly integrate technology into it. Over the past 35 years, he has designed theaters for Hollywood celebrities, top athletes, world leaders, and prominent business figures. He has also created branded home theaters and accessories for major companies like IMAX and Walt Disney. Theo is now back in Greece, where he began his career as a filmmaker winning the top Thessaloniki Film Festival prize for his short feature film Limited Engagement.

Katia Angelopoulou

EDITOR: FILM FESTIVALS
Katia Angelopoulou discovered her passion for cinema in the 1980s at age 14, when she was allowed to attend screenings of Kubrick and Tarkovsky films at a Film Club. She combined her university studies in Sociology, Communication, Media, and Social Psychology with Film studies. Her professional experience includes roles as an assistant director in Greek television and as a journalist for foreign press, where she highlights Greece through art, entertainment, and travel. Katia values creativity as a means to emphasizing the transformative potential of artistic expression in enriching cultural dialogue. Her work reflects a commitment to showcasing the beauty and diversity of Greek culture.

Maro Angelopoulou

EDITOR: MUSIC
Maro Angelopoulou is the editor of the Music category at Gr2Me.com and serves as the music expert for Greece at Europavox. With over 24 years of experience in writing, music journalism, and content creation, she has contributed to numerous platforms, including music magazines, radio, podcasts, and newspapers. She notably held the position of co-chief editor at Pop+Rock Magazine, worked as an editor for Vimagazino, Sonik, Avopolis, and Brainfood Media, and has been a podcast host for Vodafone Greece. Additionally, Maro was a radio host for Kiss FM, Radio Deejay, and Sto Kokkino, promoting European acts through Europavox since 2015.

Yiannis Argyropoulos is a dedicated tourism professional with nearly 20 years of experience in the luxury hotel industry. Discovering his true calling for tourism at a young age, he cultivated a lifelong passion for travel and cultural exploration. With a solid academic background, Yiannis brings extensive expertise to hospitality. His travels across many countries have deepened his understanding of diverse cultures, enhancing his customer service approach. Known for his commitment to exceptional guest experiences and meticulous attention to detail, Yiannis thrives in the luxury tourism sector, always eager for new adventures to connect with travelers.

Elena Athanasopoulou

CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Elena Athanasopoulou, born and raised in Athens, has always embraced her creative spirit. From a young age, she preferred to craft everything herself, showcasing her unique personal style. She studied Graphic and Interior Design and became a creative art director for top Greek magazines like Life & Style, Maison Figaro, etc. Recently, Elena has established her own creative studio, working with esteemed clients such as Google Hellas and the Italian Embassy. In her free time, she continues her passions for sewing, crafting, and painting furniture, now sharing these joyful activities with her daughter, fostering creativity and connection in their lives together.

Dian Farr Louis

WRITER
Diana Farr Louis, originally from New York, has made Athens, Greece her home since 1972. Her writing primarily focuses on travel and food in Greece, and she has authored several travel guides. Her published works feature collections of articles from the Athens News, such as "Athens and Beyond," "30 Day Trips and Weekends," etc. Diana honed her culinary skills at Cordon Bleu in Paris in the early 1960s, which sparked her passion for Greek cuisine and culinary history. She has authored three cookbooks and recently co-authored "111 Places in Athens That You Shouldn't Miss," a quirky guide highlighting her favorite spots in the city.

Katerina Florous

ASSOCIATE EDITOR: HISTORY
Katerina Florous is a talented young journalist from Athens who loves storytelling and draws inspiration from her Greek and Russian background. With experience in digital media, journalism, and social media marketing, she takes a fresh and creative approach to her work. A graduate of the University of Athens' Department of Communication and Media Studies, Katerina is skilled at connecting with audiences through engaging and relatable stories. She is excited to continue her journey with gr2me, where she brings to life the rich history and culture of her heritage, sharing unique perspectives that she hopes will resonate with the platform’s visitors.

Ioanna Foteinidi

ASSOCIATE EDITOR: FOOD & DRINKS
Ioanna Foteinidi is a 22-year-old journalist beginning her career in media. She loves both the energy of urban Greek life and the calm of the countryside. Ioanna earned her degree in Communication and Media Studies from the Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she developed her storytelling skills. Her passions for the arts, cinema, and good food inspire her to explore and share the richness of Greek culture. In addition to her ambition for journalism, Ioanna is studying to become a professional dancer. As she starts her career, she looks forward to sharing stories that showcase the diversity and beauty of modern Greek life.

Chris Fouryotis

SALES DIRECTOR
With over 30 years of experience in sales, real estate, and investment consulting, Chris Fouryotis is a distinguished figure in the industry. As a partner at Mellon Property Consultants and PKB Group, he skillfully facilitates numerous property sales while maintaining a low profile. Chris has a diverse background, having worked as a sales manager at over ten companies, where he honed his skills in strategic planning and customer engagement. His extensive market knowledge makes him a trusted advisor for clients looking to enhance their investments. Outside of work, Chris is a passionate music composer and producer, an avid stamp and coin collector, and enjoys sports and travel adventures.

Tony Gabriel

CO-EDITOR: FOOD & DRINKS
Tony Gabriel has extensive experience in the Food and Drink industry worldwide. He studied Hotel and Catering Management at Oxford Brookes before becoming a Food and Beverage Manager for Hilton Hotels. Tony has consulted on various restaurant and bar openings in Greece, managed cruising operations in China, and served as a food specialist for the European Union in Crimea. He also ran his own food and beverage business in Greece. With a passion for culinary innovation, Tony is always eager to explore new concepts and ideas, particularly those inspired by existing recipes and methods that delight and stimulate the palate.

Pantelis Iliakakis

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
After graduating from Deree College with a bachelor’s degree in marketing management in 1995, Pantelis Iliakakis gained valuable experience working for top companies like Vodafone, Vivodi, and HOL. He then made a significant career shift by joining GAEA as an Export Sales Manager. In this role, he was instrumental in promoting high-quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) in international markets. With a strong passion for educating business partners and consumers, Pantelis effectively shared the unique qualities and health benefits of premium EVOO. His dedication led to the establishment of the Olive Oil Bar in 2017, where over 2,500 people have learned to appreciate and recognize exceptional EVOO products.

Eva Kakoulidou

MARKETING CONSULTANT
Eva is a Senior Marketing & Communications Professional with extensive experience in various industries. A skilled team builder and trend hunter, she artfully balances medium and message while consistently achieving results. Over her nearly 30-year career, she has cultivated a powerful blend of communication and entertainment expertise. In 2020, Eva and her colleague Monica Kassani founded MyUkiyo, a marketing agency dedicated to helping brands realize their full potential. MyUkiyo supports clients through comprehensive go-to-market strategies and implementations, offering services such as market research, digital marketing, content creation, social media management, public relations, and SEO to drive business growth.

Dimitris Kalomirakis

EDITOR: HISTORY
Dimitris Kalomirakis pursued his studies in Archaeology and History of Art at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has served as a Curator and Deputy Director of Antiquities in various Departments of Antiquities of the Greek State, where he managed the archiving, documentation, excavation, protection, and restoration of monuments from the Christian era to modern times. Between 1994 and 1995, he taught General History of Art and Technology at the Technological Educational Institution of Heraklion. In Athens, he led initiatives for the digital documentation of monuments for the National Archive of Monuments. He now lives in Alexandria, Egypt, and he is the library director at the Patriarchal Library of Alexandria.

Katerina Koskina

EDITOR: CULTURE
Doctor of Art History - Museologist - Exhibition Curator. She has worked in administration and event organization, both in the private and public sectors, in Greece and abroad. Since 2020, she has been the Cultural Advisor to the Mayor of Athens. She was the Director of the National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST), and was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the State Museum of Contemporary Art. She was the Director in numerous Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art. She worked as a curator of the Art Collection and as an artistic consultant for the management of Alpha Bank. Additionally, she worked as a special cultural advisor at the European Cultural Centre of Delphi.

Orestis Kyriakoulakos

GR2ME AI APPLICATION DEVELOPER
Orestis Ioannis Kyriakoulakos is a graduate student at the University of Piraeus, focusing on Software Development and Artificial Intelligence. He earned a B.A. in Cultural Technology and Communication and has further enriched his expertise through various seminars on innovation and digital tourism. A highlight of his experience was contributing to the ERUA Hackathon 2023, which addressed sustainable development strategies for the Aegean Islands. Additionally, he attended the Digitally Enhanced Tourism seminar to investigate how digital technologies can enhance regional tourism. Orestis has gained professional experience in CRM, UX design, and social media strategy, working with PwC Greece and Crowd Policy, refining his skills in digital media and user experience.

Manos Makrigiannakis

Manos Makrigiannakis was born and raised in Heraklion, Crete. He pursued his studies in directing at the Stavrakos Film School in Athens. Since 2019, he has worked as both an editor and assistant editor on fiction, documentaries, corporate videos, and music projects. Films he has edited have won awards at various film festivals, including the Drama and Thessaloniki Film Festivals. Additionally, Manos serves as the editor for the marketing teasers for gr2me, showcasing his versatility as an editor

Joanna Papadopoulos Averoff

ART CONSULTANT
Joanna Papadopoulos Averoff is a seasoned art consultant specializing in international Post-War and Contemporary art. Her expertise encompasses art gallery operations, private and corporate sales, artist estate management, art journalism, museum exhibition curating, and consulting for financial wealth management. Since 2004, she has co-managed her father NONDA’s estate, organizing multiple projects, including four solo museum exhibitions. In 2001, she founded Morgan Art Consulting in New York City, overseeing its Athens branch from 2008 to 2017, where she hosted exhibitions of contemporary artists. Currently, she serves as Associate Director of Roma Gallery and advises art collectors in both the U.S. and Europe while residing in Athens.

Renee Pappas

DIRECTOR OF INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH
Renee Pappas began her career as an agent at the International Famous Agency before working with The Beach Boys and Geffen-Roberts Management, representing artists like The Eagles, Joni Mitchell etc. In the 1990s, she moved to Greece, where she promoted Greek art as an advisor to Deputy Minister Theodoros Kasimis. Her clients included prominent cultural institutions, and her work featured on CNN, Reuters, and Euronews. She organized programs for CNN's “Artclub” and “Hotspots.” Now back in the U.S., she serves as the Director of International Outreach for GR2ME

Evi Psathidou

Evi Psathidou was born in Athens and attended Arsakeion Psychiko and the Guides School. In the 1970s, she studied Ethnology at the Sorbonne, where she closely followed the food scene in Paris. After returning to Athens, she opened La Chocolatière, a boutique specializing in chocolate. Over the years, this shop evolved into a high-end catering business with three locations in Athens. Throughout her career, she has connected and collaborated with various food enthusiasts, chefs, and winemakers. Now, in this new chapter of her life, she finds great excitement in writing about a subject she loves and understands, which is always changing and evolving.
