Three female art professionals joined forces for a two-artists’ show that opened in March in The Tribeca district in New York City. Professor Tressa Berman, member of the advisory board of Greece in USA, is curating the show that represents African American artist Kate Turner and Fulbright Fellow Stella Kapezanou on behalf of Greece in USA, under the Auspices of the Greek Ministry of Culture. Mrs Kapezanou is exploring the concept of Sovereignty as a power emanating from the female body, a concept that characterizes her recent paintings that center around issues of gender, bodily autonomy, and self-determination. The Opening Gallery, at 42 Walker in Tribeca, New York, is a nonprofit cultural venue and initiative established in 2022, showcasing global and local artists, practice-based research, as well as performance, live events, and educational programs.
