The 14-hours long documentary film «exergue - on documenta 14» by Dimitris Athiridis that premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival, was presented in the framework of the 13th Athens Avant-Garde Film Festival. The film follows Adam Szymczyk, artistic director of the leading art fair Documenta, which in 2017, the first time it was organized simultaneously in Kassel and Athens, was marred by a major scandal.
Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes, attended the screening of their new film “The Return” (2024), a retelling of Homer’s Odyssey directed by Umberto Pasolini, at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival. The two renowned actors received the Festival’s honorary Golden Alexander award.
