Paidi Trauma, the musical alias of Tasos Karteris, has become one of the defining voices of Greece’s modern alternative scene. Since 2018, Paidi Trauma has released three thematic albums, each with its own emotional universe. “Mystikes Horeftikes Kiniseis” (meaning: “Secret Dance Moves), out in 2018, introduced his unique ability to combine minimal electronic production with tender, introspective storytelling. Two years later, “Tha Katastrepso ton Kosmo” (I Will Destroy the World) expanded his sonic world, capturing the anxieties, contradictions, and dark humor of a generation navigating uncertainty. In 2023, his album “Mainstream” critically examined popular culture, digital identity, and the pressures of modern visibility, blending catchy melodies with existential undertones.
In 2025, Paidi Trauma returns with “Defteri Zoi” (Second Life), a 9-track album released by Fine! Records. This new work explores themes of escape, forgiveness, and emotional rebirth. Instead of chasing commercial trends, Karteris uses subtle electronic layers, atmospheric arrangements, and intimate vocals to reflect on the suffocating nature of the digital world and the longing for authenticity. Through its stories, “Second Life” examines how we try to reinvent ourselves—online and offline—and how healing often requires turning inward rather than seeking external validation.
Lyrically, Paidi Trauma continues to observe the world with clarity, softness, and a quiet sense of rebellion. His songs move between nostalgia and disillusionment, tenderness and frustration, always maintaining a subtle emotional intensity.
