SOFIA SFYRI, ANDREAS LOUKAKOS
Sofia Sfyri was born in 1990, in Athens.
She studied Film at the University of Westminster (BA)and Performance (MA) at Central Saint Martins.
In 2022, her short documentary Zabeta (co-dir. E. Sfyri) was nominated for a Hellenic Academy Award IRIS, and in 2021 itwas awarded the Audience Prize at the Thessaloniki IFF, and. Her upcoming short film Spiti will be funded by ERT Microfilm.

She has shown her work in Spain, Italy, England and Greece.
As a freelancer, she has worked with Apple TV+, Vogue, ERT, Onassis Foundation, Dotmov, Athens Voice, Athens Technopolis, et al.
Andreas Loukakos was born in 1978 in Athens. He studied architecture at the University of Greenwich and directing at the University of Westminster. He is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and co-owner and creative director at “Dotmov” company. He has worked as a director on several TV shows and his documentary on the history of the Leros psychiatric hospital entitled Leros: Freedom Is Therapeutic won second prize at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in 2004 and was screened at film festivals around the world.
How is it to work with natural material like marble, for a dance performance? How do you create a new work in the midst of a pandemic? Stones & Bones by RootlessRoot was postponed just before its original premiere on April 2020 but the rehearsals went on through autumn, while a film version was presented through our YouTube Channel. In the I Am a Hunter documentary, Jozef Fruček and Linda Kapetanea chronicle the process of a work which is still waiting to meet its audience live.
