FANI BITOU
Fani Bitou is a graduate of the Athens School of Fine Arts (2012) and the National Technical University of Athens (2002). She has participated in group exhibitions and artistic projects, including Voices (Camp 2014), the 4th Athens Biennale (2013), and Border Crossing on Border and Anthropology and Anthropological Nomadism (Bucharest, 2013), among others. Her work includes installations, video art, and visual interventions. She is also a theatrical play facilitator and designs educational art programs for children.
Niaz, an immigrant from Afghanistan, tries to learn English while he is trapped in Greece because of the closure of the borders. The film was shot in Greece 2016, in the center of Athens and in the Camp of Elliniko, at a time when the borders to Europe were officially closed for immigrants.
