VICKY ARVELAKI
Vicky Arvelaki born in Germany in 1980, she grew up in Krefeld. Since 2009 she has directed two documentary series of 12 episodes (“Hidden Crete” & “The Eleventh Hour”) – and various other documentaries – for Nea Tv Crete, where she works. She is also a member of the festival organization of CFF (Chania Film Festival). She currently lives and works in Crete.
In May 2015 an action was organized in Heraklion, Crete, which was designed to give experience to citizens on how people with visual impairment (low vision-blindness) face the challenges of their daily lives. The aim of this documentary is to remind us of the potential of our inner eyes – which patiently wait for us to use them – and that the lack of sight is not always an obstacle in the progress of man.
