Techno, and heavy bass, going over super fast-moving slide-show images of a million different frames from portraits of a city: windows, trains, stadiums, and streets, reflect the delirium of urban life.

Autow Nite Superstore
Enigmatic Athens-based electronic producer & DJ, inspired by the anonymity of underground club scene, particularly techno and garage, his tracks blend fractured breakbeats with mysterious vocals and submerged sound effects, creating gloomy, dystopian soundscapes that evoke lonely strolls around an empty, bleak city.
Autow Nite Superstore or ANS, for shorter, or Thomas, as the real name behind the moniker goes, works as a fully independent artist, and he has gained the attention from some of the most important and influential platforms in the industry, including BBC Radio 6 (he’s among its New Music Fix suggestions), XLR8R, METAL Magazine, Berlin’s KALTBLUT, DUMMY, and VICE, while his music has also been spotlighted by Bandcamp’s New & Notable.
From his debut album, Plastic Medium, in 2019 he has produced several albums (special nods to Conversations and Head Over Hills that created a buzz around him), Eps and audiovisual projects, while receiving remix work from electronic music pioneers such as Andy Barker from 808 State, Mikael Delta and more. He performs live on various stages and big festivals in Europe, pushing the boundaries of his sound, and constantly experimenting with his own musical identity.
His 2024 release, an astonishing 10-track album called Running Towards The End of The Light, alongside a deluxe, splatter-vinyl 12” LP, combines heavy basslines, and a mix of pop, rap and rave. It’s a true album, a unified collection of songs similar in style as well as mood yet also distinct enough from one another to remain engaging.
ANS offers a vivid audio portrait of a contemporary city moving in agony, a semi-abstract sound painting of its distress and bitterness.
