That’s the theme for the videoclip to Mazoha’s song “Arrenotipota” (a nonexistent Greek word, serves like a sarcastic wordplay of “manliness”) from his 2023 full-LP, that works here like a dark comedy short film. Jimmy Polioudis flirts with various genres. He is the man behind this one-man-band from Thessaloniki: From 80s pop to shoegaze and from there to the most minimalist new-wave, but he himself describes MAZOHA as synth-punk, and having already built a large discography in no time (five albums and four EPs in six years!), he has established his personal sound, exciting his young audience at his always sold-out performances, which are not limited only to small venues: He was a support act at the concerts of Pet Shop Boys and Idles in Athens.
