Dimitris Bavellas was born in Athens in 1976. He studied film directing at the Stavrakos Film School and attended acting seminars by Dimitris Mavrikios at the “Theater of Changes.” He has directed documentaries music videos, television shows, corporate videos, and more. Additionally, he has worked as an assistant director on numerous film and television productions. For several years, he also worked as a music producer for the radio stations Flash 96.1 and Melodia. In 2005, he received a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) for postgraduate studies in directing abroad. Since 2006, he has been pursuing a master’s degree in directing at the Northern Film School in Leeds, UK.
