“Satin Life” marks Alcestea’s debut single, inviting listeners to reflect on how well we truly understand our own lives and those around us. Should we strive to decipher them, or simply surrender to the experiences that unfold— especially when life appears draped in satin and roses? With lyrics and music written by Alcestea herself, the song is both introspective and evocative. Accompanying the release is the official music video, featuring editing, montage, and coloring by the talented Lia Hide, who also designed the song’s cover.

Alcestea
A singer-songwriter and performer who weaves together stories—her own, those of the people next door, and even of imagined souls from distant places and times she wishes she had met – this is Alcestea! Her music blends indie pop with folk and dream pop influences, creating an ethereal, yet deeply personal sound.
Born and raised in Preveza, in the region of Epirus, northwestern Greece, she discovered her passion for music early on and began her journey as a songwriter eight years ago. Now based in Athens, Alcestea has pursued both music and academia, studying topography at NTUA while honing her craft in piano, contemporary singing, and songwriting, culminating in an MA from Bath Spa University.
She has performed in music venues, concerts, and festivals and was a member of the vocal ensemble Praxis, showcasing her versatility as an artist. Following her debut single “Satin Life”, Alcestea returned with “Pop Corn”, a fresh, summery track that echoes her love for the ’80s aesthetic. The song’s bittersweet lyrics capture the longing for a love that never arrived—an ode to those unspoken wishes we carry through the years. Produced and arranged by Monsieur Minimal, “Pop Corn” embodies his signature neo-vintage sound, a seamless fusion of dream pop and ’80s electronica, breathing new life into a nostalgic era.
