ΘΗΛΕΙΑ

12 minutes – 2014 – short documentary

In 1969 Theo Angelopoulos shoots his first feature film «Reconstruction» in the village of Monodendri in Ioannina, Greece. In the summer of 2013 Lefteris Rizos, a permanent resident of the village who was an extra in this important film, talks about the noose that they slipped around his neck to serve the needs of the script. Α screening for him 44 years later. The noose is still there.

VASSILIS LOULES

Vassilis Loules is a director of documentary and fiction films. His films have been awarded in festivals, have been shown on TV in Greece and abroad, and are being used as educational material in universities. They deal mainly with issues of History, Social Anthropology, Ethnography or Industrial Archaeology through the personal stories of everyday people. Vassilis tours very often in the USA, Canada and Europe showing his films in universities. Among them: Harvard, Columbia, Yale, Stanford, Princeton, Mc Gill, University of Michigan, Duke, U-Penn, Dartmouth College, UCLA.
