KONSTANTINOS STRAGALINOS
Konstantinos Stragalinos is a multi-awarded European director, screenwriter, producer and editor based in Athens. He wrote, directed, and co-produced the feature film The Big Father, a surrealist drama praised by prominent critics including Ninos Mikelides, Stratos Kersanidis and Alexis Dermentzoglou. Stragalinos is a dystopian filmmaker with a surreal narrative voice who crafts a unique vision and has also created a number of acclaimed short films. His work has received awards and nominations at international festivals (Toronto COMMFFest, Panorama of European Cinema, Glasgow WoFF, Chennai ISFF, Dublin Underground Cinema Awards, among others). He has directed for television and produced documentaries, music videos, and commercials. He graduated from Athens Law School, studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts, and holds an MA in Film and Media Production from the Northern Media School (UK), with a scholarship from the State Scholarship Foundation (IKY)
K. is a conceited young man who has moved away from his scientist father’s ideals and has become a drug user. One day, a colleague of his father’s suggests detoxification by means of a revolutionary drug. Is there a catch?
