THELYIA PETRAKI
Thelyia Petraki is a graduate of the Hellenic Cinema & Television School Stavrakos (Dept. of Film Direction) of the California Institute of the Arts (Valencia, California– BFA in Film) and of UCL, London (MA in Anthropology, Material and VisualCulture). Thelyia Petraki has written and directed a medium-length documentary and three short films that won prizes in high profile international film festivals. She is currently developing her debut feature film.
“Pray” describes that moment in life when someone realizes the world is far from perfect. The story is about a girl who’s been sentenced by the court of law to be buried alive, but no one around her seems to care.
