Lemon is a theatre collective created by actor, pianist, and performer Melachrinos Velentzas together with actor Giorgos Drivas.
The two artists stage the story of the pianist 1900—from the original text by Alessandro Baricco—in the most unexpected corners of Greece: on drifting vessels and shipwrecks, on beaches and breakwaters, in village squares, within a lemon grove, and in abandoned places where theatre takes root for the very first time.
For Lemon, every performance is singular—each one adding another “lemon” to the crate of this independent journey.
With the vision that “theatre exists wherever there are spectators,” Lemon embraces the cultural pulse of each location, weaving connections across the shared map of our collective imagination.
