April 2025
The avant premiere of “Emeis”, the highly anticipated autobiographical documentary of rapper Bloody Hawk, took place at Village Cinemas in The Mall Athens — and it was nothing short of electric.
Behind the camera, Orestis Plakias and Stelios Kotionis craft a 100-minute journey into the life and rise of one of Greece’s most influential rap voices. Through intimate interviews with Bloody Hawk himself, as well as his friends and collaborators, “Emeis” pieces together a raw, human story.
Starting out in Xanthi and going on to fill stadiums nationwide, Bloody Hawk has remained faithful to the dream he shaped as a teenager. That dream reached its most symbolic moment in November 2024, with a free concert in his hometown. “Emeis” reveals the lesser-known sides of an artist who’s chosen music over fame, privacy over exposure.
With over 30 cities in Greece and Cyprus set to host screenings, “Emeis” is already shaping up to be one of the biggest documentary releases in Greek cinema history, distributed by Tanweer Greece. It’s proof that both rap culture and the demand for real, raw stories have never been more relevant.
Official screenings start Thursday, April 10, in Greece & Cyprus. The film is produced by Foss Productions and co-produced by Dynasty Group Athens.
